Crime of the Century

Hello there,
I just listened to the Crime of the Century audio. The  exercise that I listened to was called the "Rainbow Exercise". It lead us through different colors of the prism and related them to the corresponding body parts.
I felt that this Exercise, by leading me through specific instructions, led my brain to a completely absorbed state. This was a different form of relaxation for me and it worked very well. The reason it worked well was because it gave my mind something to do. I usually wander during relaxation exercises, but the instructions were very detailed and kept me occupied.
It did develop a sharp, tactile, focus for me.
Take care,
Karin

  1. You didn't think it was a little long though? I really liked last weeks Journey On, but this one I found to be a bit too time consuming. Oh, I know, what is 20 minutes...but with 2 kids running around, sometimes you are lucky to get 20 minutes to yourself to shower, brush your teeth and eat something...LOL..let alone sit in a quiet place and concentrate. Other than that, I thought it was O.K. I still had a better experience with the first one. I can't wait to see what we get to do next week!

  2. Hi Jenn,
I do agree completely about the length! That is the problem with meditation for me though, I think of the time all the time. I did this after mine was finally asleep. I still found myself anxious and wanting it to end. I really need to make time for this more seriously. I did like the way he explained what we were supposed to feel. This guidance did help me alot, if not, I would have totally zoned out. Thanks for the input!
